Movement and Being Moved

This work is a collaboration with dancer/choreographer, Julie Robert, and sound artist Brandon Auger. This piece focuses on sound over movement, and confronts the audience to imagine the choreography taking place, rather than physically seeing it. The focus of the work is on the Tapping, Brushing, Breathing / Grunting, Squeaking, Slapping, Walking, Running, Jumping being performed, but more importantly, heard. Sound artist, Auger, was inspired by the performer’s sound movement and completed the experience, leaving the audience with a rich soundtrack to an “invisible” dance in complete darkness.

Presented at Kinetic Open Studio Series 2019.
